RICHMOND, TX The incident happened around 10:15pm Tuesday in the 700 block of Lettie in Richmond. Police say a group of people was standing in the driveway of a residence when an argument broke out. The suspect, Victor Alan Gomez, 22, hit two individuals in the head with what was determined to be either a baseball bat or a 2x4 piece of wood causing serious bodily injury. Gomez and other individuals attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle, but crashed into another vehicle and ran over a mailbox before driving his car into a ditch. The suspect and several passengers then fled on foot. While officers were investigating the incident, they received a call from the Richmond Police dispatcher stating that an individual matching the description of the suspect was in the lobby of the police department looking for his vehicle.
