Girlfriend 'upset' in beating death of 6-year-old
HOUSTON
Thirty-year-old Tammyra Sampson, appeared before Judge Belinda
Hill in Houston court Tuesday on the felony charge of injury to a
child by omission.
Her boyfriend, 34-year-old Alex Duncan, also appeared, charged
with murder in the beating death of his 6-year-old son.
Police said the boy was beaten for eight hours Saturday until he
had a seizure and died and that Sampson witnessed the beating.
Cary Hart, Sampson's court-appointed attorney, said outside the
courtroom that her client is "very upset."
Duncan's attorney, Thomas Martin, declined comment.
