More than $400K seized during traffic stop

RICHMOND, TX Fort Bend County Patrol Sgt. D. Clary was patrolling the area of Highway 59 and FM 2218 on Wednesday when he saw the driver of a tractor-trailer erratically changing lanes, according to a Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force statement.

Clary pulled over the vehicle and became suspicious while conversing with the driver, who was later identified as Jesus Trevino Jr. Clary searched the vehicle and discovered two bundles of U.S. currency hidden inside the trailer. The cash amounted to $410,641.

Drug agents investigated the source of the cash and charged Trevino with money laundering, over $200,000.

Trevino was arrested and is being held at the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.
