Authorities raid thieves' home

HOUSTON Eyewitness News cameras were at the home of Eloise Mireles and her husband Daniel when officials from the district attorney's office went inside. They had been told to take everything of value out of the home. Movers pulled the stove, beds, washing machine and other items out of the home.

The couple pled guilty last week to stealing more than $250,000 from the Harris County victim's restitution fund from 2001 through 2009. The couple has already repaid $94,000 and will spend time in jail. They'll also have to repay the remaining amount, as well as carry signs on a busy street corner.
