Motorcyclist dies in southwest Houston crash

A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in southwest Houston. Police say the motorcyclist was driving northbound on the Southwest Freeway service road and Gessner about 4am Sunday when he failed to maintain a single lane. The Honda motorcycle then struck the curb of the concrete median causing the operator to lose control and slide into the center median. He suffered serious injuries, and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His identity has not been released.

No one else was injured in this incident.
