Vigilant neighbor helps police nab burglary suspects

HOUSTON Just after 10am Wednesday, Harris County Precinct Four constables responded to an in-progress burglary of a home in the 5300 block of Boyce Springs. Constables say neighbors called them after observing the suspects at the residence.

Upon arrival, deputies observed a red Chevrolet Equinox backed into the complainant's driveway. Three suspects were detained removing property from the residence and placing it into their vehicle. One of the suspects was armed with a sawed off shotgun.

An investigation revealed that the suspects forced entry into the residence by breaking a window pane next to the rear door and reaching in to unlock the door.

Jesus Salcido, age 19, Martez Pearson, 22, and Ricardo Jimenez, 19, have all been charged with burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony. If convicted, they could each face up to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
