Dr. Mark Kline, the president of Texas Children's Hospital says it has expanded and can handle children who would have been seen at Ben Taub. The hospital district plans to use the savings to build a large new outpatient facility for children in Pasadena.
No more kids at Ben Taub Hospital
HOUSTON
Harris County Hospital District President David Lopez said, "Any patient that comes to Ben Taub would be admitted to either Texas Children's Hospital or they'd have a choice of going to LBJ Hospital for care or they could even go to Memorial Children's Hospital."
