Coast Guard searching Gulf for missing fisherman
HOUSTON
Crew from the 65-foot shrimp boat Maria Elena called the
Houston-Galveston Coast Guard on Wednesday morning to report crew
member Robert Hauring wasn't on board. He was last seen at 3:30
a.m.
The Coast Guard said it has sent a rescue helicopter, jet and
boat to search for Hauring, and has scoured more than 1,200
nautical miles in the Gulf.
The Maria Elena and its three-man crew have been out to sea for
23 days.
