Police need help finding missing 12-year-old boy

HOUSTON Jevon Tyrell Jones, 12, left his home in the 500 block of West Rd around 5pm Wednesday. An exhaustive search failed to locate the child. Police believe he ran away from home.

The juvenile was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with an orange figure on the front, light blue basketball shorts with a dark blue stripe and flip flops. He was carrying a backpack that is believed to have additional clothing, so the clothing description may have changed by now.

Jones is described as a black male with brown eyes, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 80 pounds.
