Man killed checking out suspicious activity at apartment

HOUSTON The incident happened around 4am Wednesday at an apartment complex at 8210 Bauman. Police say the victim left his second-story apartment to investigate suspicious activity he saw in the parking lot. Two unknown Hispanic males then ran up the stairwell and shot him one time. The two suspects fled the scene.

The victim, Victor Martinez, 26, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
