Officer foils robbery in progress at Harwin warehouse

HOUSTON It happened around midnight at the New Marco Polo Direct Factory on Harwin near Fondren. An officer responded to the call and spotted two men loading a U-Haul. As soon as he pulled up the suspected thieves took off.

The officer went after them and even called for backup as the suspects ran through some apartments. Investigators used helicopters and a K-9 unit but couldn't catch up with the robbers.

Right now, authorities are working to see if the U-Haul was stolen.
