Hit-and-run driver apologized before fleeing

HOUSTON On March 23 at around 4:45am, Pascual Erias and his brother were stopped on the shoulder of the Katy Freeway near Taylor. They were changing a tire on their car when a late model silver car, possibly a Buick, swerved on to the shoulder and struck Erais. He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition. He had fractures on the left side of his body and as a result of the accident; he has a metal rod in his leg.

According to Crime Stoppers, the driver of the silver car was a heavy set Hispanic male in his 30's or 40's. He was wearing a black skull t-shirt. He did stop briefly after hitting Erias. He reportedly said he was sorry before he drove off and continued westbound down the Katy Freeway.

If anyone has any information on this crime or who might be responsible for it, they are urged to call Crime Stoppers.
