SPCA spokeswoman Meera Nandlal says there were animals everywhere in the home. SPCA says the animals ranged in age from days-old puppies to 14-year-old dogs.
The owners of the dogs reportedly admitted that this was a business and that the dogs were being breed for sale.
Four dead dogs were located in a freezer during the raid Tuesday night.
Upon arrival to the Houston SPCA, all of the dogs were given a medical evaluation and general health screening. A judge will determine the fate of the 161 dogs.
