Teen shot in her home before finals

HOUSTON On Thursday, May 27 at around 8:30pm the 17-year-old victim was at home alone in the 2000 block of Silverbonnet when she heard popping noises coming from outside the front door of her house, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. She walked to the front door and as she started to open it she heard another popping noise and felt something hit her. The teen was treated for her injuries and returned to school the next day for her finals.

According to Crime Stoppers, several neighbors stated they saw a 1990 to 1995 gold colored four door Chevy with paper plates near the victim's house. They stated they saw what appeared to be a man and a woman get out to the car and start shooting at the front door of the victim's house. The suspects fled the scene after the shooting.
