HPD officers, survivors take up leukemia battle

Houston police officers as well as leukemia survivors are taking a long bike ride to fight the disease. The Houston police bicycle relay team received a send-off ceremony at the police academy in north Houston Friday morning. A 24-member team of riders is taking part in 1,400 mile ride to Colorado. It's one of the largest fundraisers for the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
