The Houston Independent School District is moving forward with plans to pay students to go to school. The Houston Chronicle reports that students will be able to earn up to $60 each month for spending Saturday in the classroom. It's part of Superintendent Terry Grier's plan to help nine struggling schools.

In the past, programs offered cash rewards for good grades. But this would be the first time kids would get paid to go to class.
