Two suspects arrested in Ft. Bend Co. drug sting

HOUSTON On May 27, Gerald Wade and Prince Woods, both of Houston, arranged to buy drugs from undercover agents. The two men drove a rental vehicle to Ft. Bend Co. and parked in the parking lot of a local business. Agents initiated mobile surveillance on the two suspects and, after a series of meetings in the parking lot, the two were arrested near the intersection of U.S. 90A and Ellis Creek.

The suspects were in possession of more than $87,000 in cash and a Glock .357 caliber pistol. The currency was found by drug agents hidden in the vehicle, and was packaged in four separate bundles.

Wade, 34, and Woods, 39, were arrested and placed into a detention facility. Both are charged with illegal investment, a second degree felony, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The bonds on Wade and Woods were set at $100,000 for the illegal investment offense and $15,000 for the unlawful possession of a firearm.
