Memorial Day events to honor veterans

HOUSTON Houston Mayor Annise Parker will offer remarks and present a proclamation this morning at the cemetery. Also speaking today at the event is Governor Rick Perry. The ceremony begins at 9:30am in the amphitheater at the national cemetery.

There are other ceremonies taking place all over Houston area, including Sugar Land, Friendswood, Hempstead, Waller County, Katy and Baytown.
