Three lanes of CA freeway open after fiery tanker crash
CORONA, CA
The freeway was shut down for several hours after the Friday
morning collision. All westbound lanes reopened around 3 p.m. and
three eastbound lanes reopened about 7 p.m.
The eastbound carpool
lane and two other lanes will remain closed until Caltrans can
inspect the pavement for damage and make repairs if needed.
The California Highway Patrol says the tanker, which was hauling
a fuel trailer, collided with a car and crashed around 10:30 a.m.
Friday on the freeway's eastbound lanes, about 50 miles east of Los
Angeles.
There are no reports of serious injuries.
