Jurors weigh punishment for man in Pearland murder

HOUSTON Nicholas Michael Jean entered the plea on Wednesday just as his trial was about to begin. Now a jury will decide if he will get the death penalty or life in prison.

This case dates back to the night of February 2, 2009. De Jesus was working late at a women's clothing store near Pearland off Smith Ranch and FM 518. According to law enforcement, she was forced into her vehicle and kidnapped. Her vehicle was found abandoned, but De Jesus was found shot to death in a tractor trailer near Reliant Stadium several weeks later.
