Feds break up fake ID ring

SAN ANTONIO, TX Investigators say seven people have been arrested and two suspects are sought.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent Timothy McElligott on Monday testified, during a hearing in San Antonio for one suspect, that raids turned up document-making equipment, blank ID's and Social Security cards.

Agents believe hundreds of people bought the fake documents at a cost of about $100 per item.

ICE says all nine suspects are Mexican nationals or undocumented immigrants.
