There was an emotional scene at Bush Intercontinental Airport Friday morning as U.S. troops arrived in Texas for Wounded Warriors Weekend.

A large crowd of military personnel, police officers and civilians greeted about 100 wounded soldiers and Marines Friday morning. The troops got hugs and thanks for their service.

The veterans came to Texas from around the country and were brought to tears by the welcome they received.

"See these people out here, that really supports what we do, it's heartfelt and you really don't, you really can't explain it, you can't explain it in words," said Wayne Smallwood, a wounded veteran from Georgia.

The troops will spend the weekend deep sea fishing off Port O'Connor as part of the fourth annual Wounded Warriors Weekend.
