Jury selection underway in cop killers' trial

HOUSTON Xiomara Mendes Rosales and Andres Nava Maldonado are each charged with felony murder and engaging in organized criminal activity. They are being tried together.

Officer Canales was killed last June during an undercover operation in southwest Houston. He was a 16-year veteran of the police department.

The gunman, Roberto Carrillo, was shot and killed at the scene.
