Refrigerator blamed for apartment fire
HOUSTON
Firefighters got the call around 2:30 this morning that a unit was on fire on Veterans Memorial near West Gulf Bank.
When they arrived, flames were shooting out of the upstairs apartment. One woman was inside but was able to get out safely.
The fire was put out a short time later and was contained to just the one unit.
