Children learn importance of safety
HOUSTON
Houston police teamed up with AmeriCorps volunteers to talk to dozens of refugee children from countries like Iraq and Sudan.
Some of the children lost their parents because of violence in their home countries.
The officers talked to the kids about staying away from strangers and the role of police.
