After about 10 minutes, the driver crashed and took off on foot. The man actually swam across the bayou that's why a chopper and rescue boats were called in.
After an hour, police found the suspect, and arrested him.
Driver leads police on chase, jumps into bayou
HOUSTON
The chase began on Houston's south side and ended on South Wayside in east Houston right along the Buffalo Bayou. Police tried to pull the man over because he was allegedly driving a stolen truck.
