Police say an officer approached the suspect's vehicle and the suspect then attempted to flee. The officer was caught between the guardrail and the driver's side door, and dragged by the vehicle for about 500 to 800 feet.
The suspect was taken into custody. The officer was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Westbound lanes of I-10 were closed to traffic during the investigation. Drivers were diverted onto the service road for Highway 59.
