Fallen local law enforcement honored during Police Week

HOUSTON One of those events will take place tonight in front of the Pasadena Police Department. It's to honor Officer Jesse Hamilton, who was shot and killed last August, while responding to a family disturbance.

The accused shooter, Sergio Robles, is charged with capital murder.

Today at around 10am, a Police Week awards ceremony will be held at the Downtown Aquarium. The ceremony recognizes a select group of officers for their hard work.

This year's master of ceremonies will be our own Eyewitness News anchor Dave Ward.
