FBI: 'Billy Goat Bandit' arrested in La.

Deandrian LaTroy Dently, aka the Billy Goat Bandit, was arrested Friday in Louisiana by the FBI and local authorities.

The man called the 'Billy Goat Bandit,' wanted for at least 12 bank robberies in the Houston area, was arrested Friday in Louisiana, the FBI said. The FBI and local authorities arrested Deandrian LaTroy Dently, 32, in Lake Charles, Louisiana around 5pm Friday evening.

Dently is suspected of participating in at least 12 bank robberies in Houston, Harris and Brazoria Counties.The robber sported a unique straggly beard with extra long chin hair, earning him the nickname of the "Billy Goat Bandit."

In all of the robberies he either presented a note or verbally demanded money from a teller. He also threatened to shoot the victims if they did not comply with his demands. The suspect has never shown a gun or physically injured anyone during the 12 robberies.

A Crime Stoppers tip led to the identification of Dently as the Billy Goat Bandit in April.
