ABC13 viewers help keep school teaching
HOUSTON The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts has 14 pianos they bought with donations or received from the community. In January, we told you the school would no longer get free pianos from a local company due to the recession. The school says our story led to a big response from people willing to help. "The very next day we were just inundated with calls from people who wanted to give cash donations to buy new pianos like these, these are brand new ones," HSPVA Piano Director Rodolfo Morales said. The pianos are used by 350 students who attend the school.
