Third suspect sought in bank heist

CONROE, TX Conroe police already have arrested Daniel James Mays, 24, and Derik Jarrod Hood, 22, in connection the April 23 robbery of a bank in the 2200 block of Westview, according to a statement issued by police. Police are still trying to find the third suspect, 22-year-old Kentdray Montreal Cooper.

All three suspects are charged with aggravated robbery. Detectives say two of them wore masks and brandished handguns as they jumped over the teller counter and demanded money. The third suspect acted as a getaway driver.

Investigators found the getaway vehicle at an apartment complex in Huntsville and used additional leads to identify Mays and Hood, according to the statement. Both men were arrested on April 29 and were transferred to the Montgomery County Jail, where each is being held on a $500,000 bond.

Cooper also is wanted on another aggravated robbery charge stemming from an unrelated incident that occurred in Walker County.

He is known to have contacts in the Houston and Huntsville area, but police haven't been able to locate him.

Detectives say no one should try to confront or detain Cooper because he might be armed. Instead, anyone with information regarding his whereabouts of Cooper is encouraged to contact Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-7867.
