Brazoria residents say they have a smelly problem

BRAZORIA, TX The old sewer lines cause manholes to fill up and cause problems with toilets in people's homes. David Jordan, the Public Works Director, says he's aware of the problem and has already been doing everything he can to solve it.

"If this was a simple fix, we would have already corrected it. And if it was something that could already have been done, it would have already been done," said Jordan.

He added that it comes down to cost. The city already spends $150,000 a year repairing old sewer lines. They've recently hired an engineer to come out and look at other possible solutions.
