HPOU official accused of theft makes court appearance

HOUSTON Matthew Calley, 44, appeared in a probable cause hearing on Tuesday morning. Calley is accused of stealing nearly $600,000 from the Houston Police Officers' Union, over a seven-year period. Calley served on the union's Board of Directors at the time.

He is charged with two felonies that could land him in prison for life.
