Suspects targeting Woodlands residents?
THE WOODLANDS, TX
The latest happened at an apartment complex on South Panther Creek on Sunday night.
About 9:50pm Sunday, three men came out from behind the trees and ran toward two women unloading groceries at the complex. One had a gun, and all three had bandanas covering on their faces, with holes for their eyes and mouths.
The suspects took both women's purses.
One of the victims dropped her 17-month-old son in the process, and the suspects then ran into the trees and fired a shot into the air.
The other happened on Wednesday about half a mile away from the apartment complex.
Three men approached an 18-year-old biker as he rode along one of the bike paths in The Woodlands. The suspects took biker's cell phone and wallet.
Investigators said the suspects in both robberies had similar descriptions, and they are still looking for them.
No one was injured in either incident, but the victims are disturbed by what happened to them.
Anyone with information regarding the suspects is encouraged to contact Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 800-392-7867.
