Ex-attorney tied to two drug deaths

HOUSTON The Harris County District Attorney's office says Shawn Roberts injected his girlfriend with heroin and she later drowned. In September, a grand jury decided not to indict Roberts for murder, but did charge him with delivery of a controlled substance.

Last week, Roberts' current girlfriend died of a drug overdose in Willis.

"He's set for trial on May 10. We on Friday filed a motion to revoke his bond," said Donna Hawkins, a spokesperson for the Harris County DA's office. "He violated a condition of his bond by ingesting a controlled substance."

Willis police continue to investigate the death of Roberts' second girlfriend.
