One of two chase suspects eludes police

HOUSTON

Officers had tried to pull a Mustang over in southeast Houston early Sunday morning, but the driver took off. Police ran the Mustang's plates, and they came back to another car. A squad car ended up hitting a wrecker.

A police helicopter tracked the Mustang to a field off Catalina, south of downtown.

K-9 officers caught one suspect. The second got away.
