Houston to consider raising waters rates for small cities

HOUSTON

Places like West University Place and Bellaire buy water from the city of Houston.

Houston city officials have discussed raising water rates up to 12 percent for homeowners and 47 percent for people who live in apartments.

Houston also told cities that buy water from them that their rates could go up as much as 30 percent.
