Sex offender arrested due to tip call

HOUSTON In January Herman Posey sexually assaulted a 10-year-girl while they were at a house located in Harris County. He touched her inappropriately on numerous occasions prior to the sexual assault, according to Crime Stoppers.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office Crime Against Children Division launched an investigation and on April 9, Posey was charged with sexual assault of a child.

Posey's photo was publicized in the media Friday morning, and by 3pm Friday afternoon he was arrested at a location provided by a tip caller.
