Plans to build low income housing near Katy end

KATY, TX Last week, we told you how those who live near the proposed site were concerned about the proposal to build 176 apartments next to the Grand Harbor subdivision. On Friday, the developer confirmed they decided to pull out of the project after realizing that income levels in the area are higher than the government program allows for the development.

He also acknowledged that the public was heavily against the idea, and says the city council was planning to block the deal, too.
