Good Friday procession attracts hundreds

HOUSTON In the Montrose area, dozens took part in "The Way of the Cross" procession.

One person carried a huge cross, as the group walked from the University of Saint Thomas Chapel to the Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral. The group also stopped for meditation in front of the Holy Rosary Church and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

A final blessing is given by Most Rev. Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza at the end of the procession.

The event was organized and sponsored by the University of St. Thomas Campus Ministry Office and Communion and Liberation.
