Girl charged with lying about attack

PASADENA, TX According to Pasadena police spokesperson Vance Mitchell, the 14-year-old girl had reported being the subject of an attack as she walked to Pasadena High School on Tuesday, March 23. She had said the attack occurred near the former Kruse Elementary School building.

Pasadena police and school district police investigated, and parents of students at Pasadena High School were notified of the abduction attempt.

Mitchell says the girl has now confessed to making up the story. She has been charged with filing a false police report. Police are not releasing any information about why the girl may have concocted the story.
