Fire breaks out at hotel near Hobby Airport

Firefighters responded to a hotel fire last night in southeast Houston last night. This happened at the Hampton Inn hotel on Airport at Monroe. Firefighters say an air conditioning unit on the roof of the building malfunctioned and started sending smoke into the building. It set off the smoke alarms and all hotel guests were evacuated.

Firefighters were able to clear the smoke from the building. No one was hurt.
