Locomotive honors Boy Scouts of America

HOUSTON The Union Pacific railroad created the UP Number 2010 Boy Scouts of America locomotive in tribute to the Boy Scout's centennial and to honor scouting's 100 year impact on the nation.

This is America. This is the Boy Scouts. This is the trains. This is what built America and we're really proud of that legacy we're thrilled to have had the opportunity to be here today," said one scout leader.

A Boy Scout summed up the experience as, "Really cool. All by myself up on that big train, the Boy Scout symbol on it. Really cool."

,P> The commemorative train marks a rare honor for the scouts since Union Pacific has created only 10 commemorative locomotives in its nearly 150 year history.
