Houston police arrested a man who led them on a short chase through northwest Houston overnight. It started on Gessner and ended shortly after on West 34th near Highway 290. It began when officers tried to pull the driver over on a routine traffic stop. He took off. At one point, the driver bumped into a cop car while trying to escape.

Eventually, one of the driver's tires blew out. He pulled into a parking lot and surrendered. The driver now faces felony charges.
