Legal snag in METRO document fight

HOUSTON A judge denied a request by Lloyd Kelley to question METRO employees and to gain access to METRO's computer system. A lawsuit filed by Kelley accuses METRO of shredding documents he requested under the Freedom of Information Act. Metro says Kelley does not have the right to view certain documents.

Kelley's attorney Mike West said, "Clearly they don't want us to have the information and now we're going to go provide the law to the judge so he can understand what authority he has to order them to produce that information."

The judge did not set a timetable for Kelley's attorney to present the case law in question to the court.
