Hotel fight ends in double shooting

HOUSTON According to the Harris County Sheriff's office, Leondray Garrison, 25, and his cousin Aaron Stelly, 26, were visiting a woman at the Americas Best Value Inn & Suites on the North Freeway at North Vista. They reportedly spotted the woman's boyfriend, Mark Collins, 37, coming up to the room.

The trio met up on the second landing and Garrison and Collins started throwing punches. Authorities say Garrison had a gun, but it fell out of his pants and hit the ground. Garrison then reportedly threw the gun to Stelly, who started firing. Stelly allegedly fatally shot Collins and accidentally wounded Garrison.

Stelly drove Garrison to a nearby hospital. He is expected to survive. Deputies were alerted to the shooting by hospital staff. They say Stelly confessed to the shooting.

Stelly has been charged with murder.
