Edwards officially asks for recount in Dist. 146 race

HOUSTON Incumbent Al Edwards has asked for the recount of the Democratic primary election votes. He lost by just ten votes to longtime rival Boris Miles. The Texas Democratic party says Edwards this morning filed the necessary paperwork and paid the deposit for the recount. Miles has declared himself the winner.

As a formality, the state party still has to approve the recount.
