Multiple-vehicle wreck shuts down South Loop

HOUSTON The wreck involved two big rigs and eight passenger vehicles and shut down 610 South eastbound between the Gulf Freeway and Highway 225 for about 40 minutes.

Houston police truck enforcement officers are on the scene to see if the rigs involved were in compliance, which is routine. At this point, we don't know which vehicle was responsible for starting the accident.

Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the accidents.
