Escaped bull returns to rodeo tonight

HOUSTON Wrangler Bronc Boehlein was behind the scenes at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo when Hardball got loose Sunday. He borrowed a horse and lasso from a calf roper, and went after Hardball. A police officer had already tried to take down the bull with a Taser before the wrangler got to the bull.

"He was already mad. Before he got Tasered he was mad," Boehlein explained. "He was in a pen by himself. He didn't like being alone. He was mad and on the fight before he got out."

Hardball made it to a Reliant Stadium parking lot before being rounded up and taken back to the animal holding area. The rodeo has re-examined its procedures, and promises no more bulls will break free.
