A total of 1,740 red light camera tickets were issued at that location, Chief Jez said. Of those, 882 were paid in full and will be refunded. The others will receive letters of dismissal within 30 days.
The light has since been corrected.

According to League City Police Chief Mike Jez, Baytown resident Byron Schirmbeck brought it to the city's attention that the yellow light on I-45 at FM 518 was too short. TxDOT officials confirmed the yellow light was set at four seconds, rather than the state-required 4.7 seconds.
